[KAM13] : Krazy Ass Mexikan 13
-
Emerging from the very south of Los Santos, a thriving but rough neighborhood in Los Santos, were Krazy Ass Mexikans 13 (KAM13). Formed by Cesar Ramirez, who went by the name “El Chueco,” and his buddy Luis “Pico” Gonzalez, KAM13 was born when these Mexican American teenagers sought acceptance and an identity in the midst of adversity. The young gang members would graffiti their way to self expression early on, tagging “K.A.M” on walls and submitting their art to function as the potent symbol of rebellion it would become. One fateful evening, hanging out, they stumbled upon a gang of tough guys mulling around the streets, looking for chaos. Tensions flared even more as outsiders began to mock their graffiti work and challenge their presence on the territory. Pride and the need to defend the newly acquired identity fueled Cesar’s and his boys’ decision not to back down from the situation. The fight erupted into pure mayhem as punches were thrown with fists flying in every which way and adrenaline pumping.
Cesar and Luis led their gang to fierce determinations in order to prove the resolve against the older tough guys who underestimated them. All the young members of KAM 13 fought hard though the odds, with every punch representing a battle for respect and recognition within the community. The confrontation became a defining moment, affirming KAM13 as one gang that wouldn’t back down.
Soon word spread that KAM13 had it in them and new members flocked to join their cause. This group that was once simple graffiti artists turned into a menacing gang as they now demonstrated their spirit in defense of the community against whatever presented itself at its front. The community will understand the power of unity and tenacity since they took a cut into a place for themselves. In an action, they transitioned from being “Krazy Ass Mexikans” to force keeping the streets safe, and marking Los Santos.
