Hi players,

After several months of development paralleled against the server’s main script development, and after a short while of internal testing, we are ready to release our anticheat launcher to the public in public beta. The speed of this release is testament to the diligence and depth of our development team: one of the best and most prestigious teams in SA:MP.

As it is public beta, issues are expected. Report any issues you find to help improve the experience of using the launcher. It should be noted that while a beta release implies testing, attempts to bypass the launcher or “check if it detects xyz” is not permitted unless given explicit permission by management+. You will be subject to the same consequences of using cheats if you attempt to do either of these.

It is also likely for issues to occur because of the nature of the differing specifications and networking capacities between players varying so much, meaning that we can’t truly account for every situation in every device without identifying the issue in a larger pool of players.

Like any software, bypasses are possible and are anticipated. These will never be fully stopped, and so to the foreign parties and servers preparing their onslaught of bypass attempts to undermine the launcher, I hope it brings you peace knowing that you’ve wasted your apparent intellect on encouraging cheaters on a 2004 game. For players concerned with the efficacy of the launcher given the prospect of bypasses, you must first understand that no software is impenetrable. The amount of investment and time put into preventing this is not proportionate to a SA:MP server, but we will do our best.

FAQ

What does the launcher do?
The inner functionality of the launcher is not intended to be publicly known for the sake of keeping the launcher less easy to manipulate. As outlined in the privacy policy, the launcher only involves non-intrusive investigation: including your game folder, your game process and other running processes. You should be aware that cheats in 2024 are not limited to game directories, and so directory checks are solely insufficient.

Who has access to my data?
The specific data is only available to Management+, which includes myself, Valentin, Duplon and N0XIC. Admins will have access to alerts which they can action, but deeper analysis requires investigation done by us in order to protect your data.

Do I have to use the launcher?
The launcher has no downsides to usage unless you’re cheating. It uses minimal resources and helps keep the gameplay fair. But no, unless you’re forced (ie. suspected of cheating), you are only required to use the launcher voluntarily. Usage of the launcher in probable faction wars in the future is mandatory. Staff will also be forced to use the launcher. It is also very likely that we will enforce launcher in highly competitive events, such as the El Cayo island event.

My antivirus flagged this as malware, what should I do?
We are aware from the testing phase that the program gets wrongly flagged as malware - we are not sure why this happens but it’s probably related to the memory checks on the game. Similar flags happen with some .asi mods used by many players (ie. Sprinthook & Crosshairs). To use the launcher, you will need to add an exception / whitelist it for now. We are seeking ways to rectify this to ensure that it doesn’t falsely flag in the future.
